If you think you might be pregnant, you don’t have to figure it out alone, and you don’t have to pay a cent. Our Athens center on Walnut Street serves the whole Valley, including families just over the line in New York. Free, confidential pregnancy testing, peer counseling, parenting classes, and material support for your baby. No insurance. No fees. No judgment. Just people who will sit with you and help you think clearly about what comes next.

Our pregnancy tests are lab-quality and completely free. If a home test left you unsure, or you saw a faint line and don’t know what it means, come in. We’ll confirm the result and walk you through what it means, at your pace. Everything you tell us stays between us.
Ultrasounds are performed at our First Look center in Sayre, at 209 West Lockhart Street, about a five minute drive from Athens. They’re free, confidential, and available for women between 7 and 20 weeks pregnant. We’ll help you schedule it, and if getting there’s a problem, tell us. We’ll work it out.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the test. It’s not knowing who to tell, or what you want, or whether you’re allowed to feel two things at once. Our peer counselors aren’t therapists. They’re people who have walked this road and will listen without an agenda. Most sessions run under an hour. Some run longer. That’s up to you.
Through Earn While You Learn, every class you complete earns Baby Bucks. You spend them in our Baby Boutique on the things you actually need. Classes cover pregnancy, newborn care, child development, and everyday parenting. They’re free, and they’re practical.
Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, blankets, clothing, strollers, and car seats. Earned, not handed out, because we’ve found that dignity matters. Come to a class, earn your Baby Bucks, and shop the Boutique.
Our Athens center serves Sayre, Waverly, South Waverly, Ulster, Milan, and Litchfield. We’re part of the Valley community and have been for years. If you’re not sure whether we can help, call. The answer is almost always yes.
Waverly is a few minutes from our Athens center, and we serve New York families the same way we serve Pennsylvania ones. There’s no residency requirement and nothing to prove. If you’re in Waverly, South Waverly, Barton, or anywhere in the Southern Tier, you’re welcome here, and everything is free.
Yes. Every service at every Hopegate center is free. We don’t bill insurance and we don’t ask for payment.
